A motion to restrict councillors from posting on social media during public presentations did not get enough votes Tuesday on Calgary city council but all involved seemed to think the discussion was a good thing. And that leads us to wonder what the policy is in your workplace, or what you think it should be.
The sponsor, Ward 10 Coun. Andre Chabot said the measure was all about respect and the ostensible target, Mayor Naheed Nenshi called it a needed discussion.
“I think it’s a conversation we have to have,” he said.
So, we’re asking for your thoughts, and your experiences, regarding cell phones and meetings, or any other large business gatherings.
